A warehouse cage, also called a warehouse cage bin or butterfly cage, is a key logistics container in storage and transport. Storage capacity is fixed, stacking is neat, contents are clear and stocktaking is easy, raising storage-space utilization. When not in use, cages fold flat to save warehouse space. The main material is wire drawn from high-carbon rod, typically 4.8mm, 5mm, 6mm or 6.4mm wire diameter. Welded panel pitches are typically 50×100, 100×100, 50×50, 50×25 and 25×25. The bottom is welded U-channel, rolled on a cold-rolled strip mill; the four bottom feet are stamped parts, usually two stampings welded together. Leg height is usually 100mm, with 120mm also available. Features: uniform sizes and fixed capacity, with galvanized or sprayed exterior (spray color per customer request). Goods visible at a glance; each cage can be numbered for easy warehouse counting. Stacks up to four high for vertical storage and space saving. Works with forklifts, lifts and cranes across transport, handling, loading/unloading and storage. Spot-welded steel with a welded U-channel steel bottom: sturdy, simple, versatile and long-lived, and ready for add-ons such as bottom casters.
