Question 1

What is a warehouse cage and what is it used for?

Accepted Answer

A warehouse cage (also called a collapsible wire mesh container or basket) is a metal container formed from welded wire mesh. It is widely used in workshops for material turnover, in warehouses for batch storage and inventory, and in logistics for transport and reusable circulation. It can be stacked and collapsed, and works with forklifts. Nanjing Tongnuo (Xintongnuo) specializes in warehouse cage manufacturing.

Question 2

What are the standard sizes of warehouse cages?

Accepted Answer

Common standard sizes include A-3 (800×600×640mm), A-5 (1000×800×840mm), A-7 (1200×1000×890mm) and A-9 (1500×1000×890mm), with 50×50 mesh and wire diameter around 5.7mm. Load capacity ranges from 700kg to 1500kg.

Question 3

Can warehouse cages be stacked?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The base is reinforced with channel steel and fitted with stacking feet, so cages can be stacked with a forklift to save floor space. The number of stacking levels depends on the load and material weight.

Question 4

Do you support custom / non-standard sizes?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We can customize dimensions, load capacity and structure (such as casters, lids, lining, dividers, double doors or lifting lugs) and surface finish (galvanized or powder coated). Just provide your requirements.

Question 5

How is the surface of warehouse cages treated?

Accepted Answer

Two main options: galvanizing resists rust and suits outdoor or humid environments; powder coating gives a clean, neat appearance that suits workshops. Choose as needed.
