The steel pallet box — also called the metal mesh box or metal tote — is a practical logistics container for heavier or bulkier items, paired with mechanical turnover, especially in auto, appliance, and machinery-hardware industries. Structure: square-tube support, box body of steel plate or mesh, bottom reinforced with channel and flat bar — a very stable tote. It stacks, folds, and moves by forklift. Forms are many: open, panel, mesh, fixed, and foldable. Sizes are broad, with custom design for special needs. Common types include corrugated-panel totes, hanging totes, mesh Type-A totes, and foldable mesh totes. The tote grew out of the flat pallet, mainly for unitizing loose parts or bulk material; the lower end usually takes a forklift and the upper end a hoist; it stacks (typically four layers); structure splits into fixed, detachable, and foldable; form splits into panel, grid, and mesh.
