Warehouse cage surfaces take many treatments; the common ones are electro-galvanizing, hot galvanizing, and powder coating. Xintongnuo builds to customer request, and each is explained below. 1. Hot-dip galvanizing: higher cost, but a thick, good-quality zinc layer with strong corrosion resistance. Cages treated this way suit harsh environments such as damp sites and cold storage. The price is relatively higher. 2. Electro-galvanizing (cold galvanizing): this is the default surface treatment for a standard cage. When the customer does not specify, the maker defaults to cold galvanizing. The main process dips the cage and a zinc block together in an electrolyte, connected to the positive and negative poles of a DC supply. The coating is even: acid electrolyte gives a brighter surface and alkaline electrolyte a whiter one, but the two are equal in quality. 3. Powder coating: also called powder coating, built to special customer request. It usually suits items without impact. A powder-coated surface sheds coating relatively easily, so watch the use case. In short: indoor standard use takes cold galvanizing; damp, outdoor, or cold-storage sites take hot galvanizing; and color looks take powder coating. When in doubt, tell Xintongnuo the use environment.
