Three Hard Metrics for Judging a Warehouse Cage

To judge a cage, hold to three hard metrics. First, welding. Mesh and base must be welded solid; every wire intersection must be welded — no missed or cold joints; the base needs full welding for strength. Second, high-wire and channel material. The cage body is high wire plus channel; wire material sets service strength, reputable makers supply reports, and large-mill wire generally beats small-mill. Much of the load presses on the channel, whose thickness decides whether the rated load is met. Third, galvanizing appearance. Coating at least 8 microns, bright, spot-free, smooth. Export orders to Japan, Europe, the U.S., and Korea are picky on these; shops that pass are generally sound in craft. The butterfly cage — i.e., the foldable cage — is one of the most common storage containers in manufacturing and large warehouse supermarkets, handling raw material, semi-finished, and finished-goods storage, transport, and sorting. It resembles a pallet, but the steel wire-mesh body broadens its use.
