Foldable warehouse cages take many surface treatments. The most common and widespread is cold galvanizing, which meets most customer needs. Beyond that there are hot galvanizing, electro-galvanizing, powder coating, and baking paint, all made to customer request. Each is explained below. 1. Electro-galvanizing (cold galvanizing): zinc is plated onto the cage surface by electroplating. The cage and a zinc block are dipped together in an electrolyte and connected to the positive and negative poles of a DC supply. The coating is even; acid electrolyte gives a brighter surface and alkaline electrolyte a whiter one, but the two are equal in quality. 2. Hot-dip galvanizing: higher cost, but a thick, good-quality coating with strong corrosion resistance. It suits harsh sites such as damp environments and cold storage. 3. Powder coating and baking paint: also called powder coating, usually done only on special customer request. Xintongnuo's advice: for ordinary indoor workshop use, cold galvanizing is enough; for damp or outdoor sites, consider hot galvanizing; choose powder coating only when you need a specific color (for example, to match the workshop palette).
